How can DPP Law help?

No matter what crime you have been arrested and detained for, DPP Law can provide advice and support. We are able to assist you in planning a defence against many serious crimes, including:

  • Criminal Damages
  • Public Order Offences
  • Burglary, Robbery or Theft
  • Assault
  • Drug Offences
  • Firearm Offences
  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Manslaughter
  • Murder

We are here to make sure that whatever your circumstances, you will still receive expert advice and support from a team of criminal solicitors who have many years’ experience.

What can you expect when you are arrested for a serious crime?

Depending on the severity of the crime you have been arrested for, you will either be let out on bail or kept in police custody once you have been charged. In some cases you may not be charged until the police have completed further enquiries, in which case you will be required to attend further interviews at a later date following which the police may charge you with an offence

If you are released on bail you will be able to go home until the court hearing is due, though there may be certain conditions imposed such as living at a specific address.

For serious crimes, the likelihood is you will be kept in police custody as you might be considered a flight-risk or a danger to the public. Even if you have committed the crime you have been accused of, you still have rights while in custody, including access to legal advice.
