Police Station Interviews
No matter what time of the night or day, if you are arrested you can call upon David Phillips & Partners to defend your rights and offer immediate advice and assistance. Call our emergency 24 hour arrest lines - 0151 922 5525 (nationwide except London and South East)/ 0208 597 5557 (London and South East only).
Once you have been taken to a police station and told that you are going to be interviewed, the police will give you an information sheet telling you about your rights. You should read and understand it. They also have a 'Code of Practice' which contains more information about your rights. You have to ask for this if you want to see it.
You have the right to representation free of charge at the police station if you are going to be interviewed. This is true even if you initially say that you don't need a solicitor. You have the right to change your mind and request one at any time.
In order to protect yourself, you should ask for David Phillips & Partners immediately when you arrive at the station. The Desk Sergeant will contact us on your behalf. The police should not interview you until we have spoken to you, or one of our accredited police station representatives has come to the station to protect your rights during the interview.
We are committed to protecting your rights. Don't hesitate to call us if you need any advice or assistance about criminal matters at any time.
